Chickens . . . chickens!?  Quite the craze here lately is the keeping of chickens in urban areas.  They are a wonder!  They produce fresh eggs which are sought after due to the all-natural organic movement.  Eggs are wonderful, but chickens provide so much more for both the urban and rural landscapes.

Year after year I spent a fortune on weedkillers, insecticides, and pesticides.  I could see the effect of the chemicals on the environmental landscape.  The dragonflies disappeared, the ladybugs disappeared, and the lightening bugs were nowhere to be found.

No more fleas, no more ticks, no more weeds, no more mowing!  Nature's pesticide, insecticide, fertilizer, and weed plucker.  A flock of 25 can clear five acres easy.  The chickens provide for all of this naturally, and, in turn, they provide eggs and fertilizer.
